Chemical Compounder
Salary Range:$18.50 To $19.70 Hourly
Background:
As a Chemical Compounder at Radienz Living, you will play a vital role in the manufacturing process
by handling chemicals, chemical substances, and operating specialized machinery to process and
produce chemical-based products. This role involves liquid blending, including loading and unloading materials
safely and efficiently in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Accurately weigh and measure raw materials, ingredients, or finished products to ensure they meet specified requirements and production standards.
- Add and blend chemicals or ingredients into processing batches using appropriate hand tools or equipment, following precise formulation guidelines.
- Initiate mixing or blending equipment to combine ingredients, ensuring operation continues for designated time intervals as outlined in production protocols.
- Operate and monitor mixing or blending machinery to process a diverse range of materials, ensuring consistent performance and adherence to production standards.
- Shut down mixing or blending equipment once desired product specifications are achieved, then activate pumps and open valves to transfer finished mixtures to the next processing stage.
- Gather material or product samples for laboratory analysis to verify quality, consistency, and compliance with established specifications.
- May be required to perform other related duties on a temporary or infrequent basis to support business needs.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalent, preferred.
- 1+ year of experience in a cGMP or FDA regulated industry.
- Prior manufacturing or packaging experience preferred.
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Basic ability to read, write and speak English is required to comply with verbal directions, signs, policies and procedures.
- Understand and follow formula instructions and able to communicate with cross functional departments.
- Basic mathematical knowledge needed.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Work schedule may vary and could include evenings, weekends, or occasional overtime based on operational needs.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching throughout the shift in a manufacturing, packaging, and warehouse environment.
- Regular use of hands, wrists, and arms requiring fine motor skills and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions and around warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Must be able to remain on feet for extended periods of time.
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in a manufacturing, packaging, and warehouse environment.
- Exposure to varying temperatures, including hot, cold, and humid conditions.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment, forklifts, and other warehouse machinery.
- Noise levels are typically moderate to high; hearing protection may be required in certain areas.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed shoes must be worn as required.
- Work pace may be fast with frequent deadlines and shifting priorities.
