Background:

The laboratory intern applies knowledge and skills to perform diverse laboratory procedures under the guidance of an Analytical Chemist, building skills and experience over time.

Responsibilities:

    • Perform routine analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples and finished goods with training from senior chemists.
    • Maintain GLP lab records.
    • Calibrate and maintain lab instruments, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
    • Adhere to safety protocols, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of products produced.

      Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    •  Some university-level chemistry coursework, including laboratory experience. Strong attention to detail, experience with basic laboratory equipment (e.g., pH meters, viscometers), experience with good documentation practices.
    •  Willingness to learn new laboratory instruments, analytical methods, and job responsibilities. Strong organizational skills and ability to follow established procedures.

 Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle or operate laboratory instruments, tools, and materials.
  • The role may involve frequent bending, reaching, and lifting or moving objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity are required to accurately perform laboratory tests, record data, and handle small equipment and glassware.
  • The employee must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as lab coats, gloves, safety glasses, and masks, as necessary.
  • Extended periods of standing during testing or media preparation may be required.

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed primarily in a laboratory and manufacturing environment where exposure to biological agents, chemicals, and disinfectants may occur.
  • The role requires adherence to all safety procedures, including the use of PPE and compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate but may vary depending on production activity.
  • The laboratory environment is temperature-controlled, but occasional work in production or warehouse areas may be required.

The Chemist applies knowledge and skills to perform diverse and complex laboratory procedures and /or specialized technical, administrative services requiring application of equivalent technical knowledge in a quality control laboratory.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform organoleptic evaluation, pH analysis, titrations and routine analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples and finished goods
  • Maintain GLP lab records and issue test reports.
  • Experience with HPLC and FTIR in manufacturing setting a plus
  • Calibrate and maintain lab instruments, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.
  • Openness to learn new instruments methods and positions. Experience with HPLC and FTIR in manufacturing setting a plus

Qualifications:

  • 0 – 2 years analytical laboratory experience preferred
  • Openness to learn new instruments methods and positions.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science preferred. High school diploma with relevant laboratory experience would be accepted.
  • Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or chemical industries (food or pharma preferred). Strong attention to detail, proficiency in basic lab equipment (e.g., pH meters, viscometers), and good documentation practices.

Packaging Line Associate

Background:

Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Packer is responsible for ensuring all products are packaged according to company standards, specifications, and customer requirements. This position ensures full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), safety regulations, and company policies and procedures.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, package, seal, and label products in accordance with established procedures, quality standards, and production requirements.
  • Inspect finished packages to identify, report, and help correct any defects or inconsistencies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with housekeeping and safety
  • Perform all tasks in strict adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Take personal responsibility for following all safety protocols, operational procedures, and quality requirements.
  • Comply with all company policies, including those related to safety, quality, and workplace conduct.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High school degree or GED equivalent, preferred.
  • Ability to maintain productivity and keep pace with line speed and production

demands.

  • Must be able to lift, move, and handle materials as required to meet volume and

Operational needs.

  • Work schedule may vary and could include evenings, weekends, or occasional overtime based

on operational needs.

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, packaging, or pharmaceutical environment preferred.
  • Ability to understand, follow, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs),

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all safety regulations.

  • Ability to work effectively in varying temperature and environmental conditions, including heat,

humidity, and cold.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to product quality and accuracy.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally handle heavier materials as

required.

  • Requires constant use of manual dexterity for handling, assembling, and packaging products.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time during the work shift.
  • Requires the ability to walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift in

support of production operations.

 

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing, packaging, and warehouse environment.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, including hot, cold, and humid conditions.
  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment, forklifts, and other warehouse machinery.
  • Noise levels are typically moderate to high; hearing protection may be required in certain

areas.

  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed shoes

must be worn as required.

  • Work pace may be fast with frequent deadlines and shifting priorities.
